CULTIVATION STREET COMMUNITY STORIES

Community Stories from around the UK

St John's (Brecon) Well-Being Project

St John’s (Brecon) Well-Being Project is a community garden in Swansea with a real focus on providing affordable produce for the local community and teaching and encouraging people to eat healthier.

Incredible Edible Dunstable

The Incredible Edible Dunstable community garden in Bedfordshire won £1000 in National Garden Gift Vouchers last year in the Cultivation Street annual competition, and they have gotten in touch to tell us how they are doing and some of the things that they have been able to add to their garden with their prize money.

Magheralin Community Association

The village of Magheralin in Northern Ireland had little in the way of community spirit before the Magheralin Community Association was formed in May 2014. Over the last few years, however, community gardening and other group activities have transformed the village. It has brought people together in marvellous ways, forming new relationships and improving the environment for everyone.

Tell us your school garden story

We would love to hear from you with your stories, tips and comments so we can share these here on our website and through our various social media platforms. We also have a regular feature in the Sunday Mirror and we are looking for articles from our communities and ambassadors

We also love videos and blogs! If you would like to send us any recordings of yourself and your garden centre we would love to see them. There is even the possibility of sending our videographer to you for a real interview. If you have ideas you would like to share in blogs, we have space for our Ambassadors to write regular or one-off blogs for our website
