Communities Information

Welcome!

Cultivation Street is now 10 years into its campaign to help people grow and garden together. Supporting thousands of adults with community gardening and children’s school gardens, this ever-growing campaign continues to transform people’s lives through the positive power of plants. As part of that campaign, we also have the Garden Centre Scheme where we connect Garden Centre professionals with schools and communities. We encourage these garden centres to offer friendly advice to beginner gardeners and help schools and children to learn about gardening and the many health benefits of associating with plants and nature.

In addition to this support, we also encourage community groups to enter our Community Garden Competition. Please read on to find out how your group can get involved!

The Competition

The Community Garden category is a really inspiring category that we look forward to every year! Every year we are amazed by what community groups can achieve, not only with the design of the garden, but also the friends they make and community spirit they have.

The award will go to fantastic and inspiring community gardening projects and people who are making their local area a greener place to live.

Whatever you are doing to improve your local area with gardening and growing, we want to hear about it!
