A special category this year was the Colour Your Life category, sponsored by Calliope®. The only guidelines for this category were to create and imaginative and stunning display that included vibrant red Calliope® geraniums.
After receiving so many stunning designs we decided to double the prizes we had to give away. As a result, there are two winners - the display that was chosen by the Cultivation Street judges and the display that was chosen by a public vote online.
All the shortlisted entries for 2018 can be found at the bottom of the page.
The winner is:
Springhallow School Garden
Entered by Cath Baynton
Springhallow school are based in Ealing London.
They have won £500 and 100 Calliope Geraniums.
Springhallow’s display features upcycled school sinks overflowing with red blossoms before an inventive ‘garden’ sign made from leftover artificial turf. The judges liked that all the children participated in the creation of the display which is a really friendly and colourful welcome to the school garden.
The judges really liked the visual impact of this display along with its eco-friendly and creative upcycling, which really made this display stand out.
We put all the shortlisted Colour Your Life entries online and asked the public to vote for their favourite.

What was so exciting was that there were lots of different projects topping the leader board at different times - and it was very close between 3 projects in particular. There were just under 10,000 votes altogether - amazing! Now, however, the votes have been counted and the public have spoken, their favourite was...
